Having a Luau or a Beached themed party???

A friend of mine is having her wedding on a beach in Cabo Easter weekend and her shower was this weekend, since I couldn't make it I wanted to send something special. So I decided to make Chocolate palm tree lollypops and purchased a white piece of styrofoam that I painted to resemble the beach and stuck the palm trees in the part I painted as the sand.

Here are a few pictures...

Valentine's Day Cupcakes!

First let me say this, I am no baker! I work best with Chocolate lol .. if you want delicious cupcakes a great friend of mine, Megan, makes the best cupcakes at livelovecupcakes@blogspot.com . I purchased these molds that are Heart shaped cupcake picks, which you stick in the cupcake after you make them. They are a great new product that make any ordinary cupcake look really cute and they are yummy too! As of right now I have the heart shaped ones and circus themed ones, I do plan on purchasing more.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know I am a day late, life has been a little hectic, as always! My parents live in an Adult Community in Marlboro, NJ. My mom has joined to help raise money for Deborah Heart and Lung Center and is in charge of Fundraising. She has a Card Party every 6 months and is very successful in raising a lot of money for Deborah.  The Card party is a party where raffles are purchased to win different types of prizes, which are donated from various people and places. She usually gives a goodie bag to the guests that attend the Card Party as a Thank you. I decided to donate chocolate covered pretzels as the "Thank you" goodie bag this year. Or course a chocolate covered pretzel alone would be boring, so I sprinkled them with oreos.

They work great as a party favor too! If interested shoot over an email for pricing.

Oreos, Pretzels and double dipping!

I went to my parents house for dinner a few Saturdays back and decided to try something different. Well, first I made the traditional chocolate covered preztels, then I decided to double dip some, so I dipped the pretzels in white chocolate, let them cool and then dipped them in dark Chocolate. I put some oreos in my food processor and dipped some of the pretzels in the chocolate and then the oreo powder,  they were the biggest hit! After making the pretzels I noticed that I had a lot of broken pretzels left. I also had a little bit of melted chocoalte left in the pot. So I decided to take the broken pretzels and put them in the food processor, when they were finely chopped, almost like powder,  I put it in the pot with the leftover chocolate and mixed it all together.... then I spooned them onto parchment paper and in the fridge they went! Well they were delicious! I was so happy that I didn't waste any chocolate and didn't have to throw out any pretzels.  Here is a picture of the plate of pretzels I brought to my parent's house!

A Great Superbowl Party Idea

Not sure what to bring to that superbowl party you're going to? Don't want to bring the same old boring thing or maybe you are hosting a Superbowl party and want to WOW your guests with something different...How about Chocolate Covered Football Shaped Oreos?!?!  You can order them here!!

Small Order - 24 cookies is $15.00
Medium Order - 48 is $28.00

For Larger orders please email me at chocolatecoveredworld@gmail.com

If you'd like to make them yourself, its pretty simple!

What you'll need:
  • Football shaped Oreo Cookies
  • Milk or Dark Chocolate waffers (depends on preference)
  • White chocolate waffers or chips
  •  Parchment paper

Prepare a pan lined with parchment paper. (this will prevent the chocolate from getting stuck to the pan)

Melt the Milk/Dark Chocolate in a double boiler

When chocolate is silky smooth and runs smoothly off spoon its time to start dipping the Oreos

Drop in one Oreo at a time, make sure it is completely covered with chocolate

Take it out with a fork and make sure excess chocolate has dripped off Oreo
Tip: Lay the oreo flat on the fork and bang fork against the pot to get excess chocolate off

Place on parchment paper

When you've finished covering all the oreos place pan in refrigerator for about 5-7 minutes until completely hardened

While waiting for the chocolate to harden start melting the white chocolate in a double boiler.

When completely melted, take out Oreos from the fridge

Take a piece of parchment paper and make into a cone. Cut a small hole.
Put melted white chocolate in cone and use as pen to design Oreo football with the stitching

Put back in fridge so white can harden as well

ENJOY!

Congratulations Nicole!!
